We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client's team in Miami. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial real estate law, supporting partners, wealth management, red-lining documents, and working with PDF documents. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with seasoned attorneys and provide essential support in a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys and partners in the commercial real estate practice.
  • Assist with drafting, reviewing, and red-lining commercial real estate agreements, contracts, and leases.
  • Manage and organize legal documents, ensuring they are properly filed, accessible, and maintained, both electronically and physically.
  • Prepare, edit, and proofread documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in the preparation of closing documents for real estate transactions, including leases, purchase agreements, and financing documents.
  • Conduct legal research as needed, particularly related to commercial real estate and wealth management matters.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties, ensuring professional and efficient interactions.
  • Maintain and update case files, track deadlines, and assist with scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Handle and organize PDF documents, including creating, editing, and converting files as necessary.
  • Support wealth management practices by assisting with related documents, reports, and legal research.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc tasks and special projects as directed by attorneys and partners.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or in a similar legal support role, specifically in commercial real estate and/or wealth management.
  • Strong proficiency with red-lining and editing legal documents, including contracts, leases, and other real estate agreements.
  • Advanced skills in handling PDF documents, including the ability to edit, convert, and manage PDF files.
  • Experience supporting high-level partners and attorneys in a law firm or corporate setting.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate laws, leasing, transactions, and financing is essential.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal document management systems.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure document accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in wealth management and understanding of related legal concepts.
  • Familiarity with document management software and case management tools.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus, given the Miami location and client base.
